GamingLives is featuring a really nice preview. The author is a fan of Risen 1, so it is interesting to see his reaction at the E3 presentation. And what's certain is that he liked the upcoming sequel.
The preview does not shed any key information on the features of Risen 2, but the small interview with Daniel is revealing in certain key aspects. Below are some excerpts:
"what we don’t really have is a skill tree where you’ll just click an icon – that’s not going to happen, because we believe that when you take skills out of the skill tree and place them as characters in the gaming world then you’re building up an emotional connection to those characters."
"That was the difference between challenge and frustration for Risen 1. Here, the whole first island is really a tutorial. You’re starting off in Caldera and the first few hours are tutorial so you can’t die; you will just try to learn the mechanics of the game and so the learning curve is not as steep as with Risen 1, definitely not… because later on we can still torture people! "

[Article] The new Risen 2 Fact List is here!
A new and complete list of facts concerning Risen 2 has been made. It contains all the information from the old one, while it reunites all the news from around the internet concerning the new RPG from the Piranhas.

Вышло очередной обновление Мод-Стартера для Risen (Online DB version). Список изменений можно найти на нашем форуме.
Примечание: Вы можете обновить вашу версию стартера сразу из интерфейса программы. Просто запустите его и он предложит вам обновиться. Для пользователей, которые еще не имеют установленного MDS, можно скачать последнюю версию стартера здесь - https://www.worldofrisen.de/russian/download_70.htm .

Вопрос:
Будет ли еще что-то случаться на островах, которые мы уже посетили? Должен быть какой-то смысл в том, чтобы снова их посетить – новые квесты например…

Да, вас будут посылать обратно на острова (на которых вы уже побывали ), и вас там будут ждать новые квесты.
Вопрос:
На последних скринах с Е3 стало особенно заметно, что мир выглядит почти фотореалистично, а персонажи в нем кажутся карикатурными.
В Ризен 1 было также, но там этот контраст не так бросался в глаза.
Персонажи просто не вписываются в такой мир.
Все так и останется, или вы их еще отшлифуете?

Я понимаю, что ты имеешь в виду. Впрочем, в самой игре мне так не показалось. Или я уже просто привык. )) Статичную картинку не всегда следует принимать за истину в последней инстанции, в движении многое, действительно, выглядит иначе/лучше.
