Our russian Partnersite Piranha Club managed to get some members of Piranha Bytes to fill a question paper they created.

3) What profession are you trained in (i.e. I remember that Björn Pankratz mentioned in a video that he used to be a school teacher)?
None, I worked at demolition sites. I do have Abitur, though.

4) What is you job at Piranha Bytes?
Level design, modelling, mapping, texturing.
5) What was the first computer game you played in your life? And are you still playing it from time to time?
Pac-Man
6) What game are you currently playing?
None.
7) Do you like reading and if yes what is your favorite book?
Yes, I recently started reading again. At the moment, it's Michel Houellebeq's "La possibilité d'une île" ["The possibility of an Island"]. Closely followed by Bret Easton Ellis' "Glamorama".
8) Do prefer to read the book in the electronic form or as a real book you can hold in your hands?
Real book are better the electronical ones. They're not so... electronical.
9) What is your favorite film genre?
Science Fiction and Horror. So the best is Horror Science Fiction.
10) What is your favorite movie (it's okay to state more than one if you find it hard to choose only one)?
I don't know. There are so many...
11) What is your favorite movie character?
Don't have one.
12) Your favorite music?
I listen to almost any kind of music but have my origins in metal.
13) Do you listen to classical music and does it inspire you at your work (if you're allowed to hear music there, of course)?
I do not understand classical music. And I do feel inspired from music either.
14) Your favorite food?
Do not have one.
15) What is your favorite beverage?
I'm trying to get to know different kinds of whiskey.
16) Do you do any sports and if so what form?
No.
17) Do you have a hobby? Or is the work your hobby?
My work is a passion, I only have music making as a hobby besides that.
18) Do you have any pets at home? Perhaps a dog, a cat or a fish - like a piranha?
I do not have any pets. My girlfriend has two dogs. If I lived on the countryside I would have a cat.
19) So you have children? If so, did they also play your games? (I remember a story which Johnny Depp told in an interview. He came home in the costume of Jack to give his children a pleasure and they only said: "Dad, don't bother us, go away, we're watching Spierman!")
Yes, two. No, they did not play Gothic yet because they're too young.
20) Do any of your friends or family play your games?
Some of them, yes. But most don't play roleplaying games.
21) How do they like them?
I like them most of the time. Of course there's always room for improvement.
[The original question had been translated ambiguously from russian to german. "They" is a formal way of addressing someone you are not familiar with (think of the archaic form "thou" in english). The only way to know if the word refers to the one you're talking to (2nd person singular) or to a group of others (3rd person plural) is by context and in the written form, whether the word starts with a capital letter. Here, the writing suggested that Piranha Club asked Sascha what he thinks while context suggested that they were interested in what those others from the previous question think. That is why Sascha's answer does not seem to fit to the question. I think he misinterpreted the question.]
22) If they critizise the game does this help you for later projects, like RPB [working title of RISEN]
Of course you learn from mistakes. But as a human, you're never immune to making the same mistake twice. You do get better, though.
23) How do you usually spend your holidays?
I usually take my holidays by the day to run some errands or for working as a docent.
24) Do you like travelling and what country would you like to visit the most?
Yes, I would like to travel someday. I am very interested in Australia.
25) Have been to Russia before? If not, would you like to visit Moscow or Saint Peterburg? Or more some exotical place like the sibirian taiga or the Altai mountains?
No, the cold and the missing communication skills will probably prevent me from doing that for the rest of my life.
